01The vision

A place to belong

More than a house.
A sense of place.

Son Terral is a proposed contemporary country house in the quiet countryside of Campos—a new interpretation of Mallorcan living, drawn with a lighter hand.

Conceived as the first of three planned residences, its architecture takes cues from the land around it: open horizons, filtered daylight, honest materials and spaces that move gently between inside and out.

The house & its landscape

Quietly modern.
Rooted in place.

The vision is simple: let the landscape set the pace, and let the house make room for it.

Low, composed volumes, deep shade and generous openings are intended to bring the outside into everyday life. Familiar island materials meet a calm, contemporary language; the result is designed to feel at ease beneath the wide southern sky.

04Materials & intent

A tactile palette

Crafted with
intention.

The proposed material story balances the enduring and the understated: island textures, honest timber and details made to feel lived in.

  • 01

    Stone, lime & timber

Mineral flooring inspired by traditional Mallorcan trispol, lime stucco and exposed structural wood are part of the design brief.

  • 02

    A kitchen to gather around

Custom oak veneer cabinetry, natural-stone worktops and considered European appliances are envisaged for the bespoke kitchen.

  • 03

    Comfort, quietly considered

The proposal includes aerothermal underfloor heating, ducted air conditioning and pre-installation for solar panels.

  • 04

    Life beyond the threshold

A 72 m² paved porch, outdoor dining, a barbecue pergola and a proposed 35 m² pool extend the home into the garden.

These are proposed design specifications and remain subject to final development.

05The setting

South Mallorca · Campos

The island,
at its own pace.

An agricultural landscape. Long views. A softer kind of quiet.

Son Terral is planned for the countryside around Campos, in Mallorca's south. Here the island opens into fields, stone, and a clear meeting of inland life and Mediterranean coast.

Campos is the starting point for a wider island story: toward the shoreline of Es Trenc, the character of Santanyí, and the connections of Palma. The exact setting is best understood slowly, one day at a time.
